My insurance company tried to low ball me on a 2017 1 of 50 Neiman Marcus edition car with less than 27k in miles. Got car from my dad who passed away so lots of sentimental value that money can not replace. Also, dealership ghosted me leaving me to deal with my insurance company and will probably need to sue the dealership for my out of pocket costs- deductible and my appraisal. I got a pre appraisal range for just 100 with a credit toward my appraisal after. I thought the appraisal process plus dealing with the insurance appraiser to settle on a number as required by my insurance contract was unbelievably cost effective. I got 4k more than the low ball offer from my insurance company. The communication from the owner down to the inspector was quick, informative, and consistent. They quickly followed through on our request to have a vehicle-specific expert travel to the dealer, provided a highly-detailed verbal and written review, and the entire process was completed in less than a week. It was very helpful to have their experts review the car since it was in another part of the country and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Several years ago I used AAG to do a pre-purchase inspection on a classic car. Unfortunately my offer on the car was not accepted. Recently I found another car that I was interested in. AAG had done such a great job with the previous inspection I contacted them once again to inspect the current car. I spoke with Larry and he explained in great detail on what would take place with the inspection and he would contact me when an inspector was located. I gave him the sellers info and then later he contacted me to let me know that I would get a call from the inspector and also the cost of the service. The inspector called and he let me know that he set a date for the inspection and if I had any other concerns pertaining to the car. Jay Williams who did the inspection contacted me the morning after it was done. He gave me a summary of the inspection and answered my questions about the test drive. Jay informed me that the report and images would be on the AAG website for me to look over and I could contact him if I had any other concerns to discuss. The report was well organized and easy to understand with 148 images included. I then spoke with Larry in detail about the value of the car in it's present condition. In addition to that, he provided me with info concerning the ownership of a classic car and the challenges to expect. Larry has many years in the business and has a wealth of knowledge which was very helpful for me to make a decision on what to offer if I decided to move forward with the purchase. As of this review, I haven't committed to the purchase yet as I am interested in another car. If I need another inspection I will certainly use AAG again.
